Times a chaingin'

I'm sorry I could not share the following with you face-to-face.  My time at First West has come to an end.  God has opened a new ministry journey for me.  I will be assuming the position as Marketing Director for Student Life (a ministry that influences 60,000+ students each year + 1000’s of student workers) in Birmingham, AL.  There is a lot more than that, but I will be overseeing the marketing of the company.

I'm excited and fearful about the new position - new challenges, but great ministry potential. 

I have enjoyed my days at First West.  The journey has been very rewarding and growing.  I continue to be amazed at God’s plans for me – how He has molded my experiences, passions and gifts to serve Him so specifically – wow – every time I feel I’m starting to comprehend God, He blows me away even more! .

I feel God has provided a great pathway for me to continue to impact students, workers, and their parents.

It will be announced Sunday morning, August 13th, and my last day will be August 18th.  They (Alabama) start school Wednesday, August 9th - so the rush is to get the kids into school.  I wanted you to know before the church is told.

Just Catchin up!

Well -- hard to beleive summer is just about over -- it's been a heck of a jounrey for me.  It all seems tobe a blur, but God has stood right beside me through it all -- God is so cool like that!

I am contiually trying to determine God's direction for me and our family.  God through a curve ball in a couple of weeks, did not see it coming, but He is already stretching and growing me and reminding me how in-charge He is! 

I love youth camp -- got back from Youniversity Friday -- it was a great week.  Students are awesome!  It was a lot of fun for me -- I got to coordinate the worship times -- I loved it!  It was great seeing all the Calvary students -- can't beleie they're driving -- I'm getting old - no doubt!  I want some of those pictures -- send them to me.

Well -- please be praying for me -- interesting days ahead!

Just got back in town from doing two camps -- JSA Camp and Camp Travis --ahd a blast at both.  The family had a great time too!  Summers in full swing and baseball is over -- camps starting up for this kids -- but life's good!

Hard to beleive life goes as fast as it does.  WOW whata jounrey I'm on -- as old as I get (careful) I keep learning things over and over -- I was struggling not long ago -- last week -- on a faith issue.  Then BAM - God reminded me and convicted me with Heb 11:6 -- without faith - I CAN'T please God.

I know there are times we wonder and doubt -- but it's those times we have to rely on faith only -- not signs, not peace, not a word -- just faith.  It's a great place to be -- if you have history with Him -- and I do -- so now these days are relaxing -- knowing no matter what happens, God is still aware of me and my situation.  Still interested in my life, making good from peoples choices -- WOW what a loving God -- ROCK ON GOD!

What a journey!

Intersting days -- on a different jounrey right now -- hmmmm.... God taking me places I've never been -- cool and out of comfort zone -- ya know?????

Life's out of control right now -- too many projects going on -- I felt a little more in control today.  Kasey and I have completely re-done our bedroom -- now we have to finish the bathroom -- yea ha!

Got a new toy -- yes I did -- 1971 Jeep Commando -- lovin it!  I'm not havinga mid-life crisis-- i just want tobe ready for it when it comes!  But -- convertibles & a jeep --  together - - can life get any better!?!

Baseball's starting soon -- got to watch a couple of ASH games this weekend -- they were in West Monroe.  Great seeing the guys!  man,  they're getting taller!
